Young elephant falls into a well, rescued by villagers ;Elephant rescued from drowning in a well
Locals found a young elephant fallen into a pit beside a farmland. It was almost covered with water when found. It was breathing lifting its trunk out of the water for a while to while. The elephant was moving around the well to find a way out. Villagers decided to help this trapped elephant to escape.
Young elephant falls into a well
They first pumped more water into the well to help elephant come out swimming. Then they started digging a gutter from one end to pave the path for the escape. But the slant of the way out was not enough. Then one person decided to rick his life and get into the pit and make the path wider and slanted. After digging a reasonable gutter they started to push the elephant to that side to make it see the way out. The elephant was guided to the escape route successfully.
The elephant was swimming around in the well; a lot of people from the village came to watch the elephant. As the elephant kept on struggling in the water, calling for help some of the villagers were still pumping more water into the well. That is what is really confusing.
Are they trying to kill the elephant or trying to make fun of the elephant? They were just all laughing as the elephant was struggling left to right in the well trying to look for a way out. Some of the villagers can be seen using sticks to push the elephant to one side, to see the escape route. I think these are the villagers the elephant has been waiting for, not the set of villagers that were pumping more water into the well.
Then the trapped giant tried climbing the expanded gutter and yes, it made it out this time! Locals around tried to make noises to make the elephant scared and run towards its natural habitat. The escaped elephant stood there for a while looked. around gave a quick glance of gratitude to the people helped and then moved into the forest.
