This humble giant walks slow and hasn’t been threatening anyone throughout the past. This is due to positive human compassion understood by the elephant since its young days. That does not mean you can really walk close to this elephant without worrying about anything. They are wild giants and might get enraged any moment for the simplest reasons that make them feel threatened.

Most of these free-roaming tuskers around the island are under the watch of Sri Lankan wildlife department that is ready to confront anyone who threatens these giants, and they are prepared to use any force required even with the support of national security forces.
