Sri Lanka is full of farmlands together with man-made water resources such as wells, waterways/canals and other pits used for crops. Surrounding these areas, we have a lot of free roaming wild elephants raiding crops as well. Even with allocated massive land areas for these wild Asian elephants, they move towards human populated areas looking for crops.

An elephant family saved from a massive farm well-

Villagers spotted an elephant family that fell into a water well nearby. They have fallen into the well as they were raiding some crops in the farmlands. It is a cute baby elephant and its parents that are trapped in the water well. With many locals gathered around the well, we can see how these elephants are protecting the baby elephant calf. They constantly make sure that the elephant calf is between them underneath.An elephant family saved from a massive farm well

As usual, the only way to get them out is through a path easy enough for them to climb at a low elevation. Officials have arrived at the scene with a caterpillar to dig this path for these wild elephants.

They finally manage to get all three elephants out from the well back towards the jungle. You can see how officials used firecrackers to scare them away so that they will have an unforgettable experience to keep them away from this area. It is our human duty to help these animals survive the generations. We must ensure that they are kept safe and away from toxic human areas for their continued survival. The video ends with a fun part where all the heroes who gathered around climbing nearby trees and running away from the angry giant.An elephant family saved from a massive farm well
