A Rescue Mission by a wildlife team: Humanity at its best, showing what humans can do
A rescue mission by a wildlife team; Elephant attacks are getting brutal every day and the damage towards civilian properties in their vicinity are growing as well. So one of this angry wounded elephant is getting relocated to a safer area with some medications.
The wildlife rescue team is gearing up to get the wounded elephant. They are all set and leave for the forest. They get into the forest and start to prepare the medicine to be used in treating the elephant.
The wildlife team begins the search for the elephant and are combing the forest and try to track him down, by finding his footprints. They find his feces and try to use it to know his whereabouts. They follow the line of the feces, and a member of the team fires a shot to draw the elephant out but they are unsuccessful.
It is night now. They ready the vaccine, hoping the catch the elephant. They reach slowly and quietly, but the elephant evades them. The wildlife team plans to catch the elephant the next day, so they leave back to their quarters.
They move to another part of the forest, still in search of the elephant. They are unable to locate it, and they go deeper and deeper, into the forest, covering the whole land. The elephant finally comes out of the forest. He is standing behind the team’s jeep.
“Nature’s great masterpiece, an elephant; the only harmless great thing.”
– John Donne
Some members of the team spot it and call off the search. At this time, the elephant is weak and he sits down on the road.
The team uses a massive rope to lay it aside. The elephant is on its side, and the team tied up his legs with a thick rope. They tie the other end of the rope to a strong tree, in order to keep the elephant stationed.
They then vaccinate it, pour water on it, and give it some food. They then prepared the elephant for transportation. The team got him into a transport vehicle; which was attached to a caterpillar.
Villagers are all around, enjoying the spectacle. The rescue team struggles to get the caterpillar to move, due to the weight of the elephant. The caterpillar is finally on its way, and the elephant is going to get proper treatment after relocation.
