One might ask, what is it like to have so many pits like these in Sri Lanka?
Sri Lanka is a country that experiences a lot of rainfall throughout the year, in many areas with such high rainfall records do have naturally collapsed pits deep within the hearts of jungles that would pose great dangers towards any animal that falls inside.
Humble elephant waits till humans work to get him out from a pit-This Sri Lankan elephant met an unfortunate incident falling to a collapsed pit that trapped him for a while. Fortunately, like always, villagers were able to spot this elephant and hear the elephant making noises asking for help.
Struggling harder didn’t get this elephant to progress anywhere so he relaxed and sat away till humans would deal with the pit slopes. People brought in hand tools that would be used to dig the surroundings of the pit for the elephant to climb up. You will be able to hear the villagers saying and anticipating about the elephant coming out any minute.
People stood away as they reminded this elephant about being trapped, then it reached towards the sk=lopes and gave it all the strength it had. Then quickly climbed out of the pit and ran after some men who came to help. We would like to thank everyone who supported this elephant to walk out safe; humanity could use many more like these men.
