Cutest baby elephant fed with milk before safe-relocation
Somewhere in Minneria, wildlife officers found this beautiful and loving baby elephant calf lost without anyone around. They kept this baby elephant secured in an outpost while looking for its parents for a few days in intention to reunite the baby with the elephant herd. Since Sri Lankan elephants regularly migrate from area to area, it is tough to keep a track on everyone and the herd movements.
The officers kept this baby elephant secured for the time being since this calf wouldn’t survive the wilderness alone. These officers already have supplies and milk to feed this baby for days or weeks. The baby elephant is very calm and seems to be feeling very safe with these human beings. This baby elephant is one of the cutest we have ever seen.
After failed attempts to find the main herd that baby elephant belongs to, the officers have decided to take this calf away to a wildlife conservation site or a national park to re-introduce this baby elephant to a herd of elephants again. They have called in for transport so they can take this elephant back safely. Officers constantly kept this elephant fed with milk all the time and were able to load the calf into the truck. They will be taking this elephant to a safer area, and we hope to share footage with the calf again soon.
As mentioned in previous articles, the citizens love all these elephants, and they are well aware of the situation or the dangers they face against these wild elephants in the region. A lot of wildlife officers are also present in the area where elephants and humans have learned to coexist in better ways than some other regions across Asia.
